| Instead of creating yet another wall hanging, this course will teach you to apply the technique of Hardanger to a useful project in this jewelry case you will be proud to show off at your next retreat or seminar. In this course, you will learn correct techniques for Hardanger and pulled thread; confident cutting and withdrawing threads from linen; a variety of Hardanger stitches that can be used in other projects; several counted band dividers; a useful edging stitch and various applications for it; and a simple, yet professional finishing technique that is applicable to many projects. Techniques and stitches include Klosters, Hardanger eyelets, satin stitch, bead application on linen, needleweaving and needlewrapping, dove's eyes, square filet filling, beaded twisted bars, tips for working with overdyed threads, backstitch binding and nun's stitch edging. The optional complete kit contains the linen, #5 and #12 pearl cotton, Watercolours, cotton floss, beads, needles, ribbon, jump rings, moiré satin lining, batting and stiffener. For those who prefer to provide their own materials, a complete list of supplies is included.
