Bits and Pieces is a class for students who wish to expand their knowledge of pulled thread technique. Students will learn basic techniques, allowing for experimentation with stitch expansion using a variety of threads, including number 8 and 12 pearl cot­ton, Cordonnet #20, Flair, and Wildflowers. The design is worked on white or cream 18-count mono canvas using threads to match the canvas. The student will experience changes in stitch density created by the stitches and threads used, as well as learn to fit a stitch into the area being worked. Surface stitching and gold couching give a change of pace.
