Carolina Spring captures the beauty of areas fortunate enough to have an abun­dance of azaleas and dogwoods. Stitched on blue Congress cloth with DMC floss, the student will use an aerial perspective and a variety of surface embroidery stitches and techniques to give depth to the needlework. The design will be traced on the ground fabric and directions will be given for each area. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to stitch this piece, and no two pieces will be exactly alike.
