Oriental Poppies

Oriental Poppies is a class in shading. A single strand of thread, a sharp needle, and piercing the canvas give the stitcher good control in shading the poppies. Lugana was chosen for the ground fabric as it is easily pierced, but it can also be easily counted for the blackwork patterns used in the background. The student will have a choice of stitching this piece in either DMC floss or silk.
