Pineapple Sampler

The Pineapple Sampler is a sampling of counted thread techniques, including a four-sided stitch alphabet, a beaded cross-stitch border, darning patterns, pulled thread, drawn thread, blackwork, Hardanger embellished with beads, eyelets, rococo stitch, and more. Students will learn how to properly lay various threads and how to attach beads and other ornaments. Threads used include floss, metallic ribbon, overdyed floss and pearl, Watercolours, ribbon, blending filament, and Bijoux. The piece is stitched on colored Congress cloth, and a clever little edging stitch for finishing the piece is also included.
