A stained-glass design and many stitches create this sampler on #18 canvas. The flowers, worked in overdyed floss, floss, Kreinik Braid, Gold Rush, and beads, are worked in eight Florentine patterns. The glass panels behind the flowers are worked in 14 needlepoint stitches in Elegance, Splendor, and Gold Rush. The outside border uses another nine needlepoint stitches in overdyed floss, Splendor, and Gold Rush. The needlepoint stitches explore the use of several threads in each stitch. The 9˝ x 16.5˝ piece can be framed or used in a tote bag or pillow. |
