"Through the tinsel, let's look for the gold of the Christmas star." So goes a verse from Ann Weems' poem, Kneeling in Bethlehem. With inspiration from this poem, beautiful materials, and a little help from the computer, we can look through embroidered tinsel at a beautiful Christmas scene. Use the computer-printed canvas which will be provided, or, recycle your favorite Christmas card for the center scene of the ornament. The innovative woven Christmas star may be stitched onto the Congress, or, through the actual Christmas card. Techniques used include goldwork, blackwork, and needlepoint. Computer printing is discussed in the booklet.
