This class is designed for the student who would like to independently explore the world of color. Each lesson consists of two parts, and each part contains a variety of exercises, including readings in the text, written exercises, preparation of notebook pages using clippings from magazines, small stitching exercises and 'thread play'.
Lesson One covers the vocabulary of color and its physical aspects. Lesson Two covers the basics of color harmony and color contrast. Lesson Three discusses color as a part of design. It also covers symbolic and subjective color, color to create the illusion of space, changing colors in a purchased design and creating a color scheme for an original design.
