| Description: | his bright, cheery pattern is an exercise in shading and
in controlling a hand-dyed thread. In class you will learn how to work
with a skein of hand-dyed thread (in this instance a silk) and
manipulate it to color match various elements of the design. You will
learn color manipulation and shading of solid threads by thread
blending strands of cotton floss and by decreasing the number of
strands used in order to suggest a hint of pattern. Color choices will
be available. The student will preselect the choice of white or
buttercream canvas for her design. Design size: 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" on canvas
cut to 12" x 12". Canvas: #18 mono. Proficiency level: Advanced intermediate. |
