The ANG Needlepoint Discussion List

ANG-list is an e-mail list for the discussion of all aspects of needlepoint. An e-mail list is a group of people interested in the same thing -- needlepoint, in our case. When you join the list, you will start receiving email messages from other people on the list. The members of the list determine what gets discussed. If it relates to needlepoint, this is the place to discuss it. Click here for more information about e-mail lists.

ANG defines needlepoint as "any counted or free stitchery worked by hand with a threaded needle on a readily countable ground." This a place to ask questions about needlepoint. It is a place to discuss classes, seminars, and other learning opportunities. It is a place to discuss tools, patterns, threads, materials, etc. Talk about the project(s) you're working on, the project you just finished. If you have a question about how to do a particular stitch, ask. If you've learned a neat new way to attach a found object, tell us. If you're working on painted canvas and need a good stitch to use for hair, ask for suggestions. If you're not sure what's appropriate to post, the ANG-list Rules give you information on what is on-topic and what is not.

We've set up an easy-to-use Web interface for using ANG-list. Click on the appropriate item in the list below to access this interface.

ANG-list digests are kept at Datarealm, ANG's Web Presence Provider. To access them, send the following message to majordomo@mail.serve.com:

index ang-list-digest

Do not type anything into the subject line of your message.

You'll get back a long list with lines like the following:

To retrieve any of the files, send another message to majordomo@mail.serve.com. Include a line like the following for each file that you want to see:

Again:
1. Leave the subject line blank.
2. Send the messages to majordomo@mail.serve.com. Do not send these messages to the list.
