Front Cover:
This handsome project, "An International Celebration of Stitching," is the logo for the ANG National Seminar to be held in Detroit, Michigan in October. The piece was designed by Dorothy Lesher and stitched by Kathy Kuleza from a stitch done by Gail Sirna. Metallics, silk floss, and flat silk were used on the color-washed blue congress cloth ground.

ANG National Seminar Section 15

The Shay Pendray home tour is one of the many tours available to Seminar attendees. Her fabulous collection of wonderful original fiber art including this incredible double-sided embroidery from China in twelve panels will be displayed.

Back Cover:
"Dreams Unrealized" is a striking stitchery of Detroit's Fisher Building, which was commissioned by the Fisher brothers of Fisher Body and designed by Albert Kahn in the 1920s. It is a fine example of Art Deco architecture. The project was designed by Ruth Kerwath of Troy, Michigan. Ruth used cotton floss and metallics on congress cloth to interpret this stylized rendition.
