Front Cover:
A detail from "Up, Up and Away" by Pat
Van Cleve of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was an
outstanding entry and a big winner in the 25th annual
National Exhibit. This glorious design won Best In Show,
a Judge's Choice Award, Delegates' Choice Award and first
place in Adaptation Professional category. It was
inspired by a sight Pat witnessed when leaving an earlier
ANG Seminar, and it is destined to be donated to a
hospice to bring a note of cheer to those who see it.
Back Cover:
Donna Groves of Pontiac, Michigan, stitched
"Lady Butterfly" for the sheer love of
stitching. That joy was evident and this beautiful piece
won the coveted Princess Grace award that gives a special
ribbon and this year's very special Boehm rose. It also
won People's Choice award and third place in
non-professional Painted Design category.
