50" x 60' framed tapestry consisting of nine scenes depicting aspects of Montgomery County life from 1800 to 1840. The central motif is a map of the
county prior to 1845 and the current boundary. Surrounding squares depict early history, oil well equipment, sawmills and transportation, cotton and tobacco crops, recreation, ranching, flora and fauna and the six flags that have historically flown over the area. |
