Wildflowers of North Carolina

Stitched by: Salem Chapter members
Location: Hospice
Designer: Salem Chapter member Kristina Daniels
Description: In this two-phase project, each patient room in the hospice was named for a North Carolina wildflower. Twenty 6" x 10" wildflower designs were stitched and framed. Each stitched flower was hung as a room marker beside the door to its corresponding room. Phase two, an 18" x 53" horizontal panel, depicts nine of the wildflowers. All pieces were stitched on 22-count canvas with cotton floss, using a variety of stitches.
Presented: Phase one: January 1998
Phase two: April 2002
