Winter Faerie is a noncharted design that is worked in sheer and opaque fabrics, muslin (face), fusible web, novelty yarn (hair), and embellished with a variety of stitches and techniques in flosses, rayons, metallic threads, silk ribbons, and beads. Winter Faerie is an airy, light design that suggests ice, snow, and snowflakes. The face and arms are created using a slip (stumpwork). Winter Faerie joins her sister, Spring Faerie, and will eventually be joined by sisters Autumn Faerie and Summer Faerie.
