Reminiscent of the Three Graces, the Three Embroideries salutes needlework and three of its most popular forms. A trio of beautiful young women is portrayed, each clad in flowing robes worked in one of three different embroidery techniques. The Muse of Canvaswork wears a robe worked in complex needlepoint stitch, embellished with gold and tiny beads. The Muse of Counted Thread wears a robe of shaded blackwork. And the Muse of Surface Embroidery has a lovely robe of silken flowers. All are beautiful; all present a pleasing learning opportunity.
