Curious about the value of needleart? Curious about the appraisal process? Join us for this overview of appraising. Textiles are a valuable record of our social history as well as our art history. To appraise current as well as historic needlework, the principles of appraisal practice, a code of ethics, valuable resources, and basic knowledge are all necessary. What you need to provide an appraisal, the types of appraisals, methods of valuation, museum methods of restoration and conservation, supportive organizations, and some of the legalities
will all be presented.

Kit Fee/Contents: $15; notebook with appraisal information to be considered in determining the value of a particular textile, plus other helpful information.
