February 2002: Alisha Lace
by Ann Dean Landry
When finished, Alisha Lace looks similar to the 4-Way Continental, but its method of working is completely different. Alisha Lace is worked in diagonal rows of backstitch in both directions.
Alisha Lace was developed by Chottie Alderson and published in her Stitchin' With Chottie LadyBug Series in 1977. The stitch is named after Chottie's granddaughter.
