December 2003: I Never Promised You A Rose Garden

Stitched Samples

Here are several versions of Rose Garden, stitched in a variety of thread colors. All samples except Doris Akers' were stitched on 18-count mono canvas. Doris used 24-count Congress cloth. Take your inspiration from one of these color schemes or do what we did -- use this as a good opportunity to stitch with materials already in your stash!

Be creative! Be adventuresome! A small project like this is the perfect place to try out that showy new thread you just had to have, but had no place to use.
