February 2003: Trellis Cross Variation

The first two steps are worked the same as you would a trellis cross. By changing the fill-in, as I did in Steps 3 and 4, you change the appearance of the stitch. Depending on the threads and colors used, this stitch gives you the ability to create texture as well as dimension. The stitched model was worked with three colors of Trebizond Silk for Steps 1-3, and a #4 Kreinik Braid was used for Step 4.
