August 1998: Square Eyelet

This stitch is also known as the Algerian Eye. The
size of the stitch can be increased or decreased to fit
the desired area. A thinner thread creates a lacy effect
while thicker threads create more texture. All stitches
are worked from the outside in to the center canvas hole.
Come up at odd numbers and go down in the center hole at
even numbers.
