When You Open Your Heart to Another
| Stitcher: | Ellen Emanuel, Pennsylvania |
| Designer: | Ellen Emanuel |
| Location: | Hanging in the stitcher's studio where it brightens her spirits many a day. |
| Description: | Ellen belongs to a design group and their current
working theme was entrances. Her original idea was
based on an actual door, using canvas stitches to
illustrate a Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass design.
During the time she was planning the piece, Ellen's pet
dog passed away, which led to her to the idea of the entrance
to one's heart. The heart remains incomplete, because
she was not quite ready to give all to the new..... When You Open Your Heart to Another took a few months to stitch, with time and much patience given to Ellen's new puppy. |
