| Description: | Kreinik developed 7 new colors of metallic threads in
1998. When Amy saw the colors displayed together on a
wall at market she was overwhelmed by the effect created
by the colors grouped together. It screamed wearable art
to her. Frankly, Amy "had to have" an evening bag made with these Kreinik threads. These Bargello patterns are fast and easy stitches giving a dramatic effect with these rich, elegant colors. She loves to use metallics, but you must be careful or they quickly overtake the idea of the project because they are so strong. These colors are deep and not quite as glittery as some. They give a more realistic "metal" look to Amy. They are a little more sensitive that the other metallics that she has used. The colors will rub off at the needle and with rough handling, but the overall look of these colors is well worth the trouble that they cause. |
