| Description: | A trifold purse was in my mind. Two
Japanese motifs were chosen for this design, lightening
bolts and gingko leaves. Their placement and manipulation
was the challenge. This piece was designed for teaching. Playing with pattern darning and light refraction on the silk was the intent. Any student stitching this purse would have unlimited color choices and the option of emphasizing his/her metallic preference. While Kaye chose silk, stranded cotton would also be a choice. |
