Merry Chrismouse

Stitcher: Joseph Panosh
Designer: T. S. Designs
Location: On the piano in the stitcher's living room, all year long. Several friends have offered to display it in their homes.
Description: This was the first needlepoint piece that Joe attempted after completing several cross stitch pieces. He chooses projects that have a degree of difficulty and this was definitely a challenge. He could foresee uniqueness and potential appearance that could be obtained by doing this piece.

Joe only does needlework when he takes his wife to classes twice a month so it took 9 to12 months to complete. The finishing, which compliments this piece, was done by Sandy Higgins of La Jolla, CA.

If he were to do this piece again Joe probably would make no changes on fibers or stitches as he likes the contrast between the pearl cotton, metallic, wool and floss as well as the French knots on the background.
