Colton's Stocking

Stitcher: Antoinette Swett
Designer: painted canvas (designer unknown)
Location: The stocking is currently residing with the stitcher, until her nephew Colton (age 3 in 1998) is old enough to enjoy it.
Description: Antoinette decided to make stockings for all her nieces and nephews. This was the first in the a series of nine to do. She liked the design. The small motifs would allow her to make a change of color or design, if she wanted to. Antoinette thought this piece would be a great way to clean up odds and ends of different threads and colors.

Since finishing Colton's Stocking, Antoinette has finished his brother's and sister's. When the family has Christmas Eve dinner at her house, the children think it is special to have their own stockings at two different places.
