This was a class piece taught by Judy Souliotis at the Callaway Gardens School of Needlework in the early 1990's. Carol stitched about a third of it and then put it away with other pieces from classes she had taken. A few years later, as she was unpacking in a newly built home, she came across the piece again and knew that she must finish it, as she had a perfect spot for it in the bedroom. Silk and metal on canvas is Carol's favorite medium and she loved each and every stitch.
