Kimono

Stitcher: Vicky DeAngelis
Designer: Terry Enfield (painted by Jane Juell)
Location: In Vicky's hallway among her other stitched pieces of Geishas, kimonos, and her collection of antique Japanese dolls.
Description:

Vicky stitched this piece with all her heart and soul as an expression of her love of Japanese culture, history and design. She pored for days through many of her stitching books, selecting just the right stitches and colors. Her many classes with Brenda Hart gave her a lot of inspiration for her selection of stitches. She agonized for weeks over the perfect stitch for the body of the kimono. It came to her at last after taking David McCaskill's class on backgrounds.
