Description:

 My inspiration for this piece came from seeing a newspaper photo of an Asian girl in a church-sale pumpkin patch choosing her pumpkin.  The photo really appealed to me, but it took several years for me to decide to stitch it.  The pumpkins are stitched with a crewel outline stitch that is excellent for shading.
