I have a small room on my first floor where we keep the computer and an office desk. The room also has a collection of some of my needlework pieces that are not hanging in some appropriate place in my house. I have way more stitched needlework pieces than my walls can hold! This piece is in this room until the first part of December, when I decorate the entire house, including taking down pictures to hang stitched pieces for the holidays. This piece then gets moved to a very prominent place. |

Because I am a Christmas nut, I loved the design and loved everything about the layout of the city and its Christmas look. In the original piece there was a subway station entrance between the church and the tree. My little city did not have a subway station, and therefore I eliminated this section. I hunted high and low for a park bench to stitch in its place but never found one in a design, nor could I design one that would fit properly. So I went looking in the Dickens Village section of our local store and found the village people pieces. My framer did the rest! |
