Description:

The inspiration for this piece came from Sandy's cross stitch pattern. I liked the design, but I wanted to stitch it in needlepoint, so I made some adaptations.
I stitched this piece as a tribute to my mother who passed away in February. I needed something challenging to see me through my sorrow, and stitching is good therapy. Using my imagination, I tried to bring to life the Indian maiden and animals. It was stitched with Ultra Suede, silk, wool, DMC, and beads.
