This was a fantastic project. As I was in Hawaii, the stitch guide was worked out via e-mail, fax and telephone. Brenda Hart worked out the stitches for the areas and I tried them out. If they didn't work or fit, I ripped them out and she came up with another stitch.

Melissa Shirley had created such a work of art that we wanted to keep it as close to the original as possible. I did take a trip home to Santa Barbara and checked out the Santa Barbara Mission in reality. It looked the same -- we had accomplished our goal. We are both very proud of this project and choosing the frame was done with great care. The stitch guide for this piece is now commercially available.
