The ANG Workshop by Mail program provides a unique, limited-time opportunity to obtain instructions from leading designers for pieces not available on the retail market. This program is designed to be relaxed and unstructured. There is no need for a computer, no discussion list, no classroom, and no deadlines. This is simply a project you can enjoy at your leisure. A Workshop by Mail project is also well suited for a chapter or group program, with each stitcher providing his or her own stitching materials.

Double Nine Patch by Lois Kershner retains the traditional layout of nine patches, but takes liberty to “fancy” the panels within each patch. The center and four corner patches have nine sections, but the remaining four patches deviate entirely by incorporating a triangle motif. The finished piece can become a panel for a pillow, tote, or wall hanging.

Lois Kershner is an award-winning national, regional and local teacher, designer, and lecturer specializing in landscape interpretations and Sashiko embroidery. Lois holds Teacher Certification in canvas embroidery from the National Academy of Needlearts (NAN) and serves as NAN’s Teacher Certification Director. Lois has published her first book, Threadscapes, just this year. See www.loiskershner.com for a gallery of her classes.
