The ANG Workshop by Mail program provides a unique, limited-time opportunity to obtain instructions from leading designers for pieces not available on the retail market.

ANG Workshop by Mail is a relaxed, unstructured program. There is no need for a computer, no discussion list, no classroom, and no deadlines. This is simply a project you can enjoy at your leisure. A Workshop by Mail project is also well suited for a chapter or group program, with each stitcher providing his or her own stitching materials.

The first offering of 2008 is Get to the Point by Sue Reed. Get to the Point, was originally designed to encourage stitchers to explore the various nuances of shading. Originally her piece was worked in Pearl #8 Overdyed thread (produced by Needle Necessities) but Sue encourages you to be creative in your thread selection. There are many companies today that produce hand-dyed threads. One of Sue’s teaching objectives is for you to enjoy stitching this piece as you think about and develop shading subtleties. Her geometric classes encourage you to become creative in the colors used and in the presentation of the stitches. Sue’s “Rules of Color Matching” and precise instructions for marking your canvases are included.
