Invitation to ANG 2018 Seminar in Washington D C

Stars, Stripes and Stitches, what a great theme for this patriotic seminar. Our committees are looking forward to seeing you in Washington DC, August 22-27, 2018. The Virginia and Maryland chapters have been working this past year to bring you ANG’s 46th anniversary celebration in the nation’s capital.

There are 29 very talented teachers presenting classes for all stitching levels (beginner to advanced). Their offerings are so exciting - we are sure you will have trouble deciding what classes to take.

Seminar will be filled with great events: First Timer’s Reception, Welcome Banquet, Auction, Life Patron Luncheon, EXPO!, and the Farewell Banquet.

We would definitely be remiss if we forgot to remind you to visit our Exhibit to see the extraordinary work of some of ANG’s best stitchers and to preview the class offerings for Seminar 2019. Please consider entering one or more of your needlepoint creations for others to see and be inspired. The opportunity to exhibit is not only for the possibility of winning a ribbon, but to let the public see that needlepoint is an extremely beautiful art form.

Once you decide on your classes, please go to the ANG website to register for the classes you would like to take.  Other options are to call the Registrar or fill out the Registration Form and mail or fax it to the Registrar. Be sure to read all of the instructions for filling in the Registration and Exhibit Forms. Also note that there are opportunities for merchandise – the tote bags are being offered by ANG (ordering is located on the Registration Form Box 4 - Options) and other merchandise will be offered by the local chapters (see ads in this brochure).

Attractions in D.C. range from world class museums, national memorials, the National Cathedral, the Textile Museum, to Hillwood Estate, Museum, & Gardens (former home of Marjorie Merriweather Post), plantations and the Washington Nationals baseball team, just to name a few.

So mark your calendars for August 22-27, 2018. There is so much to see and do in the DC area, you may want to come early or stay after Seminar to enjoy the sights.
