ANG Projects for Communities

Nationally Funded Projects

To fulfill the purpose of the American Needlepoint Guild, Educational Services continues to research possibilities for national projects to create significant forms of needlepoint in places of worship, public buildings, and historical landmarks of the United States. ANG has endeavored to leave a legacy for future generations by completely funding twelve such projects. For more information about any of these projects, please contact ANG's Director for Educational Services.

The 1996 White House Christmas Stockings theme was The Nutcracker. These 152 stockings joined with the 1995 stockings to be incorporated into the Christmas decor for 1997. They are now part of the Clinton Administration memorabilia.
  • Blair House Chair Seats
Blair House in Washington, D.C., is the official guest house for visiting dignitaries. The four Queen Anne chairs are located in the primary suite and the upstairs hall.
