What is the Seminar?
Each year the American Needlepoint Guild holds its Seminar and Exhibit. The site for this festive event changes from year to year, moving from one area of the United States to another. Members from throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries, gather to join in the wonderful educational opportunities, fellowship, shopping, and fun.
The 2013 Seminar will be held in Anaheim, California, August 23-30. The Seminar Brochure, containing detailed information and registration material, will be mailed to all ANG members along with the March 2013 issue of Needle Pointers.
Participants will mingle with old friends and make new friends who love needlepoint, taking classes, attending the Exhibit and shopping in the Bookstore and ANG Shop. In addition to eight full days of wonderful classes, the Seminar includes a Welcome Banquet, an Awards Banquet, Silent and Live Auctions, the Needlework Expo!, tours, and "Teaching Excellence" on the opening day. Other activities include the First-Timers’ Reception, Chapter Presidents’ and Officers’ Meeting, Membership Forum, Life Patron Luncheon, and Teachers’ Showcase.
Even if you are not registered for classes at Seminar, there are wonderful opportunities available that are free and open to the public. The Exhibit displays fabulous needlepoint. Submissions are expected from all over the needlepoint world. As always, the ANG Shop and Bookstore are favorite spots to visit and are also open to the public. The ANG Shop carries an array of fine supplies for needlework and accessories, while the Bookstore carries a full line of new and pre-owned books on a whole range of techniques and topics associated with needlework.
