Master Needle Artist (MNA),submitted by Sarah Campbell, Co-chair
Now that you’re ready to begin your stitching journey and apply to the Master Needlework Artist Program it’s time to fill out your application. As this is an intensive program we ask that you have a solid background in stitching that includes both formal needlework training and an understanding of common stitching and design terms. You will also be asked to graph several stitches and submit an abstract design as well as a small stitching sample. Please also include photographs of some of your finished needlework. While this process seems daunting it is a good indication of the knowledge and know-how that it takes to become a Master Needle Artist. Good luck!!
ANG is an educational, non-profit organization whose purpose is educational and cultural development through participation in and encouragement of interest in the art of needlepoint. ANG defines needlepoint as any counted or free stitchery worked by hand with a threaded needle on a readily countable ground.
