Master Teacher Program (MTP),submitted by Susan Hoekstra, Chair
The goal of the Master Teacher Program is to help current teachers become more skilled in the instruction of needlepoint. Candidates develop their design and color skills while becoming more comfortable in sharing their knowledge and love of needlework with students in a classroom situation. As the candidate progresses through all three levels of the program, they have the guidance of a proctor who has completed the program and is a Master Teacher. The three program levels are Journeyman, Fellow, and Master Teacher. Multiple opportunities to design and create new classes are one of the great assets of the program. For questions or information, please contact MasterTeacherProgram@needlepoint.org
ANG is an educational, non-profit organization whose purpose is educational and cultural development through participation in and encouragement of interest in the art of needlepoint. ANG defines needlepoint as any counted or free stitchery worked by hand with a threaded needle on a readily countable ground.
