Jacobean designs have been stitched for centuries usually using only wool in a very traditional way. Beautiful and timely around the needleart world. This design takes us a step further, enjoying this traditional shape using many different concepts of needlework stitched on canvas. These are elegant counted canvas patterns with pearls and beads along with surface stitches such as buttonhole, shading that combines silk and metal threads, elongated French knots, off-set crosses and the outline stitch. This design emphasizes the depth of open canvas and the special effect of the laid thread. Texture! Depth! The design is stitched with silks of warm rose, lavenders, varied greens, beautiful new shaded metallics and one special crystal rose bead, on 16” x 13” canvas, all included in the required kit.
