Luxuriate in the beauty and elegance of this timeless waterlilies scene. This design was inspired while gazing down from a bridge, looking down onto the beautiful waterlilies from above. Reflections in the water of the sky and surrounding trees are rendered through gentle shading. Lily pads are created using mostly compound stitches on canvas and overdyed threads. Stumpwork embroidery techniques bring your flowers to life using silks and realistic shading. Stitch diagrams allow you to place the flowers and/or lily pads to your own preference on the canvas. Detailed images show the steps used in the stumpwork technique.
