Beets charm and glow with the warm violet red against the vibrant earth.  Beets are the third, and final, in a series of root vegetables emerging in bright, warm colors from the summer earth; following “Carrots” and “Radishes.”   Beets adds another dimensional feature to the series with needlelace techniques for the beet tops.  Continue lessons in working with color started in “Carrots” and moving around the color wheel as your garden grows.  Another vegetable emerges from your garden – this time, it is Beets.
