Golden Gala Evening Purse

Instructor: Michele Roberts

The perfect purse for a gala evening: a classic shaped clear acrylic box with a gold hinge and chain strap, and just the right size for keys, cosmetics, and cell phone. It offers great protection for stitched inserts. The golden effect is created with exotic stitches and six colors of gold metallic ribbons. The two sides are different, with diagonal bands adding a dynamic focal point for the front. The design is simplicity itself, executed in luxurious threads. Using unusual stitches from Florence, Hungary, and Montenegro are what make it special.

Proficiency Level: Intermediate
Design Size: Two inserts, each measuring 6-¾” x 4-⅛”

Kit Costs/Contents: $191 with acrylic purse with gold fittings; #18 white canvas, Rainbow Gallery ribbons, needles, bound booklet, plus practice canvas and practice threads. As shown, the two inserts have been placed into the acrylic evening shoulder box purse
