The iridescence that pearls display is caused by the overlapping of successive layers, which breaks up light falling on the surface.” (Wikipedia) We will interpret this layering in a literal way by working layer on layer, bringing the blossom to life. This class will explore a variety of techniques: chipping, S-ing, aerial couching with beads, plus the application of sequins with and without beads.
