Do you want to get involved in ANG but didn’t know what to do or how to go about it? ANG is always seeking volunteers to guide and oversee the programs and services that make ANG so valuable.

Opportunities to work on Education Programs

 

Have you ever wondered how projects are selected for the various Distance Learning areas or Seminars? Become a part of the process! There are many opportunities to contribute to ANG's extensive education program. Positions require enthusiasm for the ANG learning opportunities, organizational skills, and a comfort level using a computer (emails and spreadsheets)

Opportunities for Auction Chair and Nominating Committee

 

The Auction Chair organizes and manages the ANG auctions, which are fun for members and an important fundraiser for ANG. Members of the Nominating Committee work together to help recruit, identify, and guide future leaders for ANG.

NEW! Opportunities to work with Needle Pointers Magazine

 

Diagram & Stitch Guide Editor (or Assistant Graphics Editor)

Responsibilities:

  • Re-draw diagrams as needed to be able to publish in Needle Pointers
  • Edit and write stitch guides for both painted canvas and counted projects
  • Proofread draft versions of Needle Pointers
Skills:
  • Expertise with diagram software (Adobe Illustrator, StitchWiz)
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Collaboration with Needle Pointers Editor and graphics team
  • Strong organizational skills

Needle Pointers Editor 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the content and quality of Needle Pointers magazine
  • Collaborate with Needle Pointers contributors and staff to develop articles, features and columns that support the educational mission of ANG
  • Re-write, edit and proofread articles

Skills:

  • Ability to meet publishing and cost deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with volunteer contributors and ANG staff organization
  • Strong organizational skills
