Online Resources

(for virtual classes)

Not sure what tools will be used to teach your class? Teachers will be using a combination of offerings below to best instruct their class.

Groups.io - An email group service ANG already uses for CyberWorkshops. CyberPointers, the online chapter of ANG also uses it. You will be able to email a class email address and the email will go to all members of the class. Members will have a choice of how messages are delivered (Individual, groups of #, daily, etc).

Email - All classes, with the exception of 20620 Canvas Embellishment, will use Groups.io. Students enrolled in Canvas Embellishment will receive one on one instruction via email.

Pre-recorded Videos - Some techniques are taught better with a visual aid. If your teacher has a video they want to share with the class, they will email out a link for you to watch.

Zoom - Teachers will host live Zoom sessions either on a regularly scheduled or as needed basis. This allows anyone with a computer, tablet, or smartphone, to enter a virtual meeting room and hear and view your teacher live. You will be able to speak to your teacher, or type questions in the chat box.

New to Zoom? Check out this handy tutorial on how to join a meeting https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-Meeting-

FaceTime or other Video Meeting Platforms - Teachers will use any technology available to them to communicate with their students.
