The beauty of a winter poinsettia is the inspiration for our canvas piece. The Intermediate stitcher will use 20 canvas stitches and 4 values of each floss color to shade the piece. We will learn to combine values to make 4 values into 7 values. The poinsettia is finished by outlining each area to make each petal stand out from the others. The piece is worked as a picture on 24 count Congress Cloth 12” x 14” with the design 8 ” x 10”. The next phase will be to master shading using the canvas stitches and blending through the use of your threads. The piece is worked all in floss so that you can change the color of your poinsettia if you wish. An optional kit will be available.
This is a 4-month class.
