CyberWorkshops are available to ANG Members Only
ANG CyberWorkshops are conducted electronically with an experienced teacher via an on-line group.
The "classroom" for the ANG CyberWorkshop is a dedicated on-line group where the lessons will be posted and where students can post questions/comments about the class. In addition, the teacher may post visual aids (stitched samples, expanded charts, etc.). There will not be a critique at the end of the workshop. The only items that will be mailed are required or optional kits. Instructions will not be available either in print or via email unless so noted on the Cyber Workshop website. Students may access the on-line group and print out instructions for their own use.
A general timeline for a CyberWorkshop is as follows:
- Registration closes
- Approximately 3 weeks prior to class start date - Kits, if ordered, are mailed
- Approximately 2 weeks prior to class start date - Online group invitations sent out
- Class start date (usually about 6 am EST/EDT) - First lesson uploaded to online group and group is open for posting questions/comments
- Group is closed - About 6 weeks after the last lesson is uploaded
The amount of traffic on the group varies throughout the class. At the beginning of the class, students can expect to receive more than a dozen messages on some days. As the class continues, there are usually significantly fewer messages. Approximately two weeks prior to the start of the class, you will receive an email from the Class Angel with instructions and links to join the class.
You will be getting e-mails from the teacher, the angel, and other students in the class. You may not recognize the e-mail addresses from which the messages have been sent, but all will have a subject line that clearly identifies the message as being part of the CyberWorkshop. DO NOT put blocks on any of these addresses. If you do not wish to receive the CyberWorkshop messages at your regular address, please set up a separate account at one of the free Web-based e-mail services, and make sure that the Class Angel has that address (email angel@needlepoint.org with your email address on your profile and the email address you would like to use for the Cyber Workshop, as well as the workshop name).

Please Note:
Since this is an on-line workshop, you will need a means of accessing the internet to download and print the instructions and participate in this class. This can be your local library, or a friend if you don't have access. A minimum level of computer knowledge is required. You should know how to use your email program and how to access a restricted on-line group. ANG is not responsible for teaching these skills.
